Blu Ray arrived on the Saturday before the official release date which was an unexpected surprise. So Sunday was ‘Wrestlemania’ day for me, complete with beer and pizza!!

Quite possibly the best WWE event in many a long year. However, it is a little short on extras, which is not normally a criticism I can make of WWE Blu Rays, I would have liked to have seen more of the Sting/Triple H feud build up segments plus the Wyatt promos on Raw leaing up to the Undertaker match.

WWE had an awful lot of negativity surrounding them going into the 31st annual WrestleMania. Well it is truly shocking but in the best possible way to say that WM31 not only delivered but was the WWE’s grandest WM all around since the likes of WM24.

The Pre-Show featured The Andre Memorial Battle Royal and the Fatal 4 Way Tag Title Match, both of which were given good time to work.

The show itself opened great with the Intercontinental Title Ladder Match which could have used a bit more time but was a fun opener all the same.

Seth Rollins vs Randy Orton was a great back and forth and featured a memorable (somewhat gravity defying) finish.

Sting vs. Triple H was a trip into a time machine, with both stars having great entrances and legends aplenty getting involved in this clash of WWE and WCW. Many will be miffed at the finish but it was certainly a shock.

AJ and Paige vs The Bellas was a fine tag team match with good wrestling, if a little short on time.

Rusev vs John Cena was predictable but far better than their Fast Lane match, Rusev had a great entrance and it was brilliant to see some prestige given to the US Title.

Undertaker vs Bray Wyatt was my personal highlight of the night, a clash of darkness that delivered well. Wyatt looked great and Taker made a triumphant return (and looked 10 years younger, he was in super shape).

Then the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar arrived and despite all the fan scorn leading up to the night, the match was a great fight, with one of the best audience pleasing finishes in some time.

All in All every match at Wrestlemania 31 delivered, this was a hell of an event, with good stories been told and a big even feel missing from the last few WrestleManias. WWE really stuck it to their critics on this night, bravo! I will be buying the Blu-Ray asap.
